Cardboard flower wall hanging

Hello dear friend!

I've FINALLY completed my flower wall hanging. This was one of the projects that I kept pushing to the back-burner because, like usual, I took on too much. But...here it is! I hope that you enjoy it. I've included a tutorial just in case you like it and want to make your own. It's a very easy project.

DISCLAIMER: This is not an original idea. I saw it on Pinterest and just had to try it. First time that's ever happened.......not.

Here are the supplies you'll need:
Clothespins (I got mine at the Dollar Store), Tacky Glue (my #2 go-to, after my glue gun), and acrylic paint in your choice of color(s). I got my Tacky Glue and paint at Hobby Lobby (use a coupon!).

Gather up your empty toilet paper rolls and empty paper towel rolls and cut them into strips. Because I'm OCD a perfectionist I measured my rolls and cut them into even strips. Once they are cut into strips you'll need to decide what kind of a design you want to place them in. I chose flowers. Surprised? I didn't think so. Now it's time to start glueing! Here's where the clothespins come in. I used them to keep the flowers together while the glue dried.

After the glue is dry, it's time to paint. Start with painting the INSIDE of your paper rolls first (I speak from experience). I decided to leave most of my paper rolls unpainted. I used blue and purple for some of the flowers and then used a few single pieces (which I painted green) as leaves.

Once the paint is dry, lay your rolls out in the design that you'd like to hang them in (hope that makes semi-sense) and glue. Use clothespins to hold them in place until the glue dries.

Here's a side view in case you're interested. :)

Now, decide where you want it to hang and hang it! My wonderfully handy hubby hung (nice alliteration, right?) it for me. He just used 2 nails. Easy peasy!

The final product! Honestly, the picture doesn't do it justice!

I hope that you found this tutorial helpful! Thanks for reading. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm already having a great time blogging. I'm glad that I decided to start. I look forward to posting again very soon!

I'll be seeing you.
